God you are FAITHFUL. Even when we are not. THANK YOU that your promises are trustworthy and true. I was listening to a song this morning…a song that I don't remember ever hearing before. The line of the song started, "Never once did we ever walk…" I was fully expecting the next word to be "away." But refreshingly, the next word that came was "alone." It struck me so strongly yet touched me tenderly. God IS faithful. All the time. Never once - even in my deepest, darkest time in the pit - did the Lord ever leave my side. He was there every step of the way. Not wanting even one sheep to lose her way.
What a beautiful reminder this morning of who our God is. Thank you Lord, for loving me, the worst of sinners. For never leaving me or forsaking me. For your faithfulness in my times of unfaithfulness. Your love is not contingent upon mine. Praise your holy name. Thank you for the hope of a time when I will be forever by your side. When your faithfulness proves itself yet one more and final time. Maranatha!
